You'll see an upgrade prompt when you try to add more monitors than your plan allows. Existing monitors keep working — you just can't add new ones until you upgrade or remove one. We never silently disable monitors.
Yes. Cancel from your billing settings anytime. You keep paid plan access until the end of your billing period, then drop to the Free plan (your monitors stay, but check interval moves to 5 minutes; if you have more than 10 monitors you'll need to remove the excess).

5-minute checks can miss short outages — if your service is down for 3 minutes between checks, you might never know. 1-minute checks catch ~99% of real outages within 60 seconds. Production services should use 1-minute monitoring.
On each check cycle, your endpoint is probed from one region. If it fails, the other two regions immediately verify. We only alert when 2 or more regions agree your service is down — majority consensus, not a single point of failure. This eliminates false positives from transient network blips.
